From the very first moment we met Dan, we knew he was the one. He was the first and only photographer we met with, and we instantly felt he was the perfect fit. Throughout the entire wedding process (a year and a half!), Dan was always there - offering guidance, support, or even a little giggle when we didn’t know we needed it.
We had such a great time doing our engagement shoot early on.
Dan was completely on board with our slightly whacky ideas and vision, and the photos turned out amazing - not to mention we got to know him better and became real pals.
At our final big planning meeting, Dan walked us through his process and how he’d approach the wedding day. For two self-confessed control freaks, this was a game-changer. It gave us such peace of mind knowing exactly how he’d work and how we could support him to make everything run seamlessly. Before the big day, he even made the effort to learn names, faces, and build relationships with our families and wedding party. So when the day came, everyone felt completely at ease having him around.
As for the wedding day itself, there are honestly no words. Having Dan there was incredible. He was everywhere - I still don’t know how he did it! As the bride, I felt like he was with me the entire time. He was this calm, encouraging presence who always knew just what to say. It meant so much.
And now, the photos. We knew they’d be great… but we were absolutely blown away. There aren’t enough words to describe how thrilled we were with the final gallery. It captures exactly how the day felt - emotional, vibrant, moving, and so full of love. We’ll cherish them forever.
Choosing Dan was truly one of the best decisions we made.

From making our initial enquiries to up until after our wedding, Daniel could not have been a better choice of photographer. His “super strengths” are his people skills and this is the magic ingredient which allows him to capture images in the way that he does.
It goes without saying that his incorporation of film alongside digital as well as his background in editorial gives him great diversity in the images that he produces but what really sets him apart is his ability to really get to know people and observe, in turn making everything he captures feel unique to the couple and the little moments of the day which could otherwise be overlooked. It took us a while to find the right photographer for our wedding - we spoke to lots of different people each with something amazing to offer, but couldn’t agree on who was quite the right fit. But as soon as we came off our first call with Daniel, we knew he was the one. We both felt immediately at ease with him, and we knew that his innate charisma would work well with all of the various groups: the boys pre-ceremony, the girls getting ready, and the mix of ages and nationalities making up our guests - many of whom were meeting for the first time on our wedding day. He already seemed to know where our slight anxieties were and managed to reassure us from the outset.
Daniel brings a really special energy to your day. He somehow manages to radiate complete calm, putting even the most anxious subject at ease, while at the same time his natural exuberance and excitement adds to the joy in each moment. He does his homework around your venue in advance so that he knows what the plan is for portraits and group photos, while maintaining the flexibility to go with the flow when needed.
In the months leading up, Daniel was always available and responsive for questions about absolutely anything, from schedule to styling - we only wish we’d had him on board at an earlier stage so that we could have had more of his artistic and logistical input.
And finally, the photos speak for themselves. Four months later, we are still discovering new favourites. Daniel was able to draw out the light on an overcast Scottish spring afternoon and found the charm in every corner of our understated, rustic venue - he really captured the essence of our day, and who we are as a couple.
In short, we can’t recommend Daniel enough and would book him again in a heartbeat - we wish we could do it all over again.

We knew within a minute of our first call with Dan that he’d be at our wedding. His work speaks for itself - it’s beyond stunning. It’s a combination of classy, timeless, cool, authentic, intimate, fun. I don’t even know how you combine all of those things into a wedding gallery but he’s nailed it. But what is truly unique about Dan is just how much he cares about your wedding. He put so much effort into getting to know us as people - meeting us multiple times before our wedding and speaking to us most days about every single detail. We spoke styling, fashion, flowers, entertainment, mini moons - he became a true friend to us and we felt immensely supported by him.
When it came to the actual wedding day he had drawn up a detailed running schedule with every moment broken down. He knew what was happening at each moment and ensured everything was done to the standard he knew we wanted. All whilst capturing the most incredibly beautiful images of every moment. He’d done a detailed mood board of each section of the day and It was clear he had meticulously planned exact poses and recce’d before we got to the space. He was by my side the whole day, setting a calming and fun tone, offering to hold various bits of jewellery for me, making sure I’d eaten and had a drink, spotting moments for epic photos.
He was utterly charming with all of our guests - the ones getting married after us are gutted they don’t have him at their day. Dan isn’t just a phenomenal photographer, he’s a true creative soul and a wonderful person. He’s got an infectiously calm energy which puts you at ease and makes you know you’re in good hands. I had no doubt he would capture our day in the exact way we wanted because he’d put so much time into getting to really know us as a couple.
To future brides - I couldn’t have done my wedding without Dan and I really can’t stress how important it is having a relationship with your photographer like Dan builds with his couples. They are in your space in an incredibly intense moment of your life and the difference it had having him there to calm the atmosphere and keep things fun was a game changer.
